The Stage 2023 Recap

The Stage Circuit was a great success in 2023, and a massive step-up from year one! The Stage enjoyed increases in team attendance, college coach attendance, and expanded to multiple new venues in year 2. In addition, The Stage played host to the Adidas Gold division for the 2nd consecutive year. Below is an in depth review of what took place at The Stage Circuit 2023 :

The Numbers – 2022 vs 2023

The Stage Circuit saw sizable jumps in every major category from year 1 to year 2. From the amount of teams, players, college coaches, or Adidas Gold programs, we saw a significant increase on all fronts (See Below).

Team Attendance

Headlined by Compton Magic & Strive For Greatness, the Stage Circuit hosted 906 total teams across 5 dates in 2023. These teams traveled from 14 different states, and two different countries (Canada & Australia). A significant number of these teams represented programs who were selected to play in the Adidas Gold division. This is a collection of programs who are vying for a contract to be a part of the Adidas Sponsored 3SSB Circuit. Due to the number of teams, games were hosted at a total of 6 venues, including two in Northern California.

College Coaches

In 2023, The stage attracted 114 total college coaches during the 4 live period dates. Most notably, multiple Pac-12 schools like UCLA and Washington were in attendance.

Looking Ahead to 2024

Event Calendar Expansion – After a successful 2023, the Stage Circuit looks to expand in 2024! We will expand our event calendar, adding multiple dates. Most notably, The Stage will be adding the prestigious Compton Magic Memorial Day Tournament to our already strong line up! We also plan to add a stop that is outside of the State of California for the first time in Stage history.

Adidas 3SGB / Jr. 3SSB – The Stage Circuit will be hosting The Adidas 3SGB circuit for the 3rd consecutive year, along with the Jr. 3SSB for the second year in a row. We look to expand the amount of programs in Adidas 3SGB in order to give more programs the opportunity to compete on the 3SSB stage!

The Passport – The Passport will be a part of The Stage Circuit for a 3rd year. The Passport has many key features that can be seen by college coaches. These features include stats and individual achievements you may accumulate at a Passport supported event. These achievements can only be seen by college coaches if you unlock your passport.
